Experience
I was a teacher in Philadelphia for 3 years. I taught American history, world history, American Literature, World literature, Computers, Drama, and yearbook. In addition to my classroom duties, I tutored a number of students on the side for the ACT and SAT. I also often assisted students with their school subjects, my own subjects and science and physics. I also have tutored younger students in reading and social students. These students ranged in age from 3rd grade to 6th grade. I am a recipient of Philadelphia University's Centennial Medal of Excellence in Education. I was nominated for this honor by a former student and received in August of 2013. I've got a medal and everything! I love teaching. I love seeing a student make the inner connections and finally "get it"!
